Chevy Slashes Blazer Lease Prices (But Not In The Way You Think)
    By Alex Bernstein - , Senior Pricing Analyst - June 7, 2019

Chevy Blazer shoppers can take advantage of lower lease prices heading into June, a big relief considering expensive leases have plagued the vehicle ever since its launch earlier this year. Interestingly, a closer look reveals this is largely being made possible by massive improvements in residual values.

This month's nationally advertised lease on the 2019 Blazer LT is $289 for 36 months with $3,619 due at signing, an effective cost of $390/month. Last month, the featured deal was $339 for 36 months with $4,989 at signing, an effective cost of $478. That's an $88 month-to-month swing in price.

While our assumption was that Chevy simply raised discounts, that's actually not the case. According to dealer leasing guides, the underlying lease cash amounts haven't changed. What's different is that the Blazer now features a lower interest rate and a substantially higher residual value.

The new lower monthly payment should just about cover the (expected) new higher import tariffs...and the beat goes on.

    Postponing the Pain.

Subsidized Lease Payments, just pushes the issue 36 months away.

My Gut tells me, Who every is Underwriting the Residuals, will pay dearly

Well, it's obvious that it's overpriced.
I'm not gonna shed a tear for anyone that was fool or rich enough to pay the ridiculous price they were (are?)asking.

It doesn't work that way; GM can't sell the Blazer now, they won't raise the price, that would come out of their pocket...........
    (plus a deal was reached)

Still $390/month all-in for an LT; which we all know is severely lacking features and content

Yeah, you just gotta have it or have means to pay what they're asking.
This is definitely a case of patience = dollars in your pocket. But I guess a few just have to be first on the block...

Heheh..the original lease was almost as expensive to lease the 36/30k deal that I got in 15 minutes on my 50 grand alfa romeo stelvio ti sport with 20s and sports seats...

The blazer RS almost is a competitor for the alfa and Im sure its more expensove...

All fay long you can get a lexus rx350 for zero down 500 a month..

    That lexus is everywhere...

Who is going to lease this blazer 1LT for even the subsided rate? The japanese are subvented all their leases...

Infiniti qx30 zero down 299 a month.(600 bank fee tax tags license on these leases)
Jeep compass zero down 239 a month
Jeep grand cherokee limited zero down 399 a month
Buick encore was at zero down 135 a month
Mazda cx5 touring premium zero down 271 a month

Www.leasehackr.com is an excellent site to see latest lease deals are...

From time to time Some of them are pretty impressive in the marketplace section.

Gm isnt even playing in the real world with this subvented lease

We wanted one too but there weren't any good lease deals because it had just come out.

This will not end well in three years. Interest rates will rise rapidly and there will be a flood of off-lease CUV's on the market.
