Just make it and price it like the S-10's were priced, and GM had a small truck winner again.

I like the "Equinox-like" front end, Im glad GM isn't giving up on small truck market. Give this thing great mpg's and a solid interior and it will sell... And o ya, don't forget the Z71 package either.

Needs a small diesel with a manual trans to get real good fuel mileage. Since GM owns 50% of VM Motori they could get 4 cyl diesel last used in Jeep Liberty in US and still being used in Europe to comply with US standards.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I think it's because modern cars have an "angry" or "mean" expression, and that truck just looks happy. The clean body work still looks nice though.

The long bed, bed rails and headache rack scream Asia and South America. I'd be surprised if they brought it here like that. Not that it wouldn't be good for utility.

The doors also hint an a possible SUV. Maybe a Blazer replacement?

It will get a diesel for other markets, but don't hold your breath for the US getting one.

One more important item to the equation is affordable. Currently the Colorado/Canyon are almost as expensive as the Silverado/Sierra. The S10/S15 Sonoma were priced far below the full size trucks and sold in much higher volumes.

CAFE is going to create a small truck market again.

WOW GM can you say Toyota wannabe ?

Why not go back to the box body style but make it look real sleek ...

I love my big body 97 Tahoe , a lot of us still like the genuine squared off look

this just screams Toyota wanna be

Does GM really have no creativity ? I would rather be a leader then a follower in the Auto world .. Real creative...

Haha I know right? GM has no originality whatsoever!

Oh wait, the Cheyenne Concept was from BEFORE the Tundra.

FOUR YEARS before the Tundra, in fact.

Uhh, the Cheyenne concept was out way before the Tundra.

Oh, and I agree with the GMT-800s being the best looking trucks ever.

Re: Patent Filing: Next Generation Chevrolet Colorado?

Looks okay. This is definitely a south american design with the chunky nose and low bed-side height.

I think it could sell okay here if it were designed as a simple work-a-day truck. I think a high end model could sell, too, but not looking like this.

I'd like to see the ride height lowered to improve ingress/egress/loading and to improve fuel economy. Make this truck practical and cheap, and people will buy it. Would be a great alternative to a full size truck for people who don't need full size truck capability.
