April 26-28, 2007, hundreds of Corvette owners flocked to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky. The occasion was the C5-C6 Bash, a festival celebrating the latest two versions of the American sports car that started it all. Corvette-ifosi were also there to witness the unveiling of the 2008 Corvette and register their approval or approbation. When not ogling the new car or any of the hundreds of other souped up Corvettes that made the journey, Bash-goers could wander the halls and pay homage to Zora Arkus-Duntov's remains, which are kept behind glass in a wall in the museum. And that's only the beginning.

Thumbs up Re: The National Corvette Museum and C5-C6 Bash

For anyone who is a Corvette fan but has not had the oppotunity to visit the museum, you really must find time to go. It is a great place to see and learn interesting tidbits about Vettes and the people behind their existence. The employees there I have dealt with have always been terrific as well.

Hmm, I feel a road trip coming on. I hope to head to Nashville later this summer. I'll have to see how far Bowling Green is from Nashville.

For those who haven't made it to the museum - it is really cool!

It is like Disneyland for Corvette lovers.

Drove down from Quebec to see plant and museum. Well worth the trip. Combined it with visits to Civil War battlefield sites beginning at Gettysburg and finishing at Vicksburg. Took the Natchez-Trace Parkway. What a great road.

About 45 minutes if you go about the speed limit...the museum is actually outside of the city, just off of I 65 at exit 26 I think.....I've been tons of times and whats better is the factory tours....Go on one of those for sure!!

I totally forgot about this. Next time I could go tell my brother, and maybe he'll take off work one weekend and drive to Kentucky for the party.
I'll make a new sig. Later.
