GM is the truck maker that doesn't let you get the maxed TRUCK engine in their base truck. This is better because it's giving the customer more choice but GM is behind the ball here.
Again, why wasn't this done right away?
Well sigh...... certainly a set of welcomed improvements and doubly so plus more given what Sierra gains and yet.... wow, so so 'interesting' in a less than pleasant way.
Just opinion and nothing more but still way way short - and still more than half short of what they should have launched with - never mind bring in Year 2.
This Poster has often pointed out that winning Ugly is still winning; but now ...... to go along with that, one should never over look that winning Beautifully can be and often is even better - which also includes a realistic possibility of more Financial Performance.
And if you and or your organization is / are capable of winning Beautifully then...... winning Ugly is ultimately a type of fail, especially of Leadership.
At least they didn't freeze.......but then again, parts of this is liking watching a Glacier move.....
The other good news is that RAM and Ford - get another 'easier' than it could have been..... Year to operate in.
By reading all the comments, sounds like the interior no longer matters? Asking more out of curiosity, everyone is pleased, which is a great thing! I'm not a truck guy and the interior seems fine to me.
Now, to only try and figure out if it I can live with a 24 gallon tank.

GM is grabbing for "Stuff left on the table" Thinking Cost Savings, rather than Competition, when they launched the 2019. Now with the RAM gaining, and New F150 just around the corner in 2020, GM realized that $1000 extra in extras, are needed to catch up. Rather than stuffed in their wallets.
However, let's point out again, that the 3.5TT is available on EVERY trim with the 10 speed across the board. GM is still limiting the 6.2 to "higher" trims and some of the lower trims are still stuck with the 5.3/A6 (those lower trims make up around 40% of the sales) so while this is great news we're still kind of behind the ball.
The problem in saying that it's hypocrisy is that Ford has 3 VERY solid higher power plants. GM is on one. When GM limits that one really solid power plant we're left wanting for more.
Crap, I just realized this, that under $44k price is likely the double cab isnt it? So we're looking at $47k for the Custom Trailboss Crew with 6.2??? Ugh
