There is a new site, but everyone keeps coming back here.

Unless you mean a new site with the same address.

Then again "NewGMInsidenews.com" with green in the logo could maybe draw the same crowd the Auto Verdict site can't.

    Steering wheel:

Wonder what that large silver button does? Is that a "Z" on it?

    From the other site:

"Finally, we should note that the steering wheel seen here seems to be missing the metallic-looking scrollers present in the spy shots. We image that this is because this is a photo of a pre-production wheel that Chevrolet released, rather than the very final version".
Or perhaps it is the final version, and the designers had a change of heart decided that the metallic-looking scrollers was just a little too much bling. I think it is unlikely that Chevrolet would issue of a picture of the steering wheel that isn't 100% production accurate.

From all of the pictures of the C8 interior that various sites have had for a few months, the materials look very premium. I hope this means that the next Cadillac releases (from 2021 Escalade on) are going to have a similar uptick in the material quality. The Dash and console of the new Escalade certainly do, at least in perceived or visual quality.

GM Authority has much better content, but lacks the forum interaction. GMI has virtually no exclusive content, but has a more dynamic, but overly negative forum.

AutoVerdict, well, nice effort, but no action what so ever over there.

The C8 hype machine is in overdrive. I've never seen GM intentionally trickle out this much info.

Would you really know if they have trickled this much before? Depends.

Other than showing off a vehicle a year before it goes on sale, Corvette info has been kept pretty well under wraps. Somewhere I have a small article showing the C5 test mules wearing 4th gen Camaro bits in an effort to test it in plain sight.

There's only 2 ways this goes down, either the metallic scrollers are for higher trims, or the beancounters had their way and cheaped out on the final design of the scrollers.

Could be you are correct, but the designers could also be doing Goldilocks adjustments for the amount of bling. Not enough bling/Mercedes/Just the right amount of bling.

I'm an a-hole. If there are going to be metallic "looking" scroll wheels in a high end Corvette, I want them to be metal, not plastic with a coat of Dupli-Color on them.

I agree, you are correct. Also, those scroll wheels should be metal.
