    GM Conquest/Bolt/Volt Owner Purchase Incentive: $ 1,500.00
GM Card Incentive Bonus: $ 1,000.00*
Federal Government EV Incentive: $ 1,8750.00*
State of New Jersey EV Incentive: $ 5,000.00**

Important notes to the above transaction for NJ residents:

    >>*Ends March 31, 2020

    >>"NorthJersey.com reports that this plan is being funded by $30 million annually from an existing clean energy charge on utility bills."

    >>**"Legislation in New Jersey passed critical committee votes today (01/06/2020), making it likely to become law this week. It will make New Jersey one of the most generous states for EVs, as well as improve EV infrastructure for the millions of Americans who drive through the state.
Assembly Bill 4819 and companion Senate Bill 2252 were passed in their respective committees. The legislation has not been signed in to law yet, but it is now expected to be done by the end of the week before the end of the legislative session."

I live in New York, and my discount on the above vehicle would be "only" $ 16,170.00.

Looking for an inexpensive EV, you might want to research Bolt/Government incentives in your state.

I live in New Jersey, and this would be very tempting -- if I didn't have children to cart around.

Still, for a commuter vehicle over shorter distances, this might make a lot of sense.

It is time for GM to lower the MSRP on the Bolt.

AMEN. Lower list price = fewer dollars in sales tax paid on high incentives.

Sales tax in New York on the above GM incentives: $ 948.75.

Re: Live In New Jersey? Can you qualify for 52% off list of a Chevy Bolt?

I live in NJ and thank you for posting this information up.

Sadly i would not spend 22 grand on such an unappealing vehicle.

Drive very nice in fact I was very i,oressed but its so dam ugly I could not own one.

GM needs to style these bad boys to look like little Hot rod cuv s...not door stops.

I have a mustang mach E reservation and saw all the new incentives ...the new 5 grand NJ incentive I recently read about was for vehicles under 55 grand and I thought was not going into effect until dec. 31 st 2021...

    Your posting says otherwise...

Its hard to keep up with all these incentives etc...but first things first...

Attractive styling is the very first step for many buyers...

The new mustang mach E has a pretty cool brand image...looks good..starts at 40 grand, 50 grand and then the GT istarts at 60 grand...five grand over the allowable discount NJ tax rebate limit...

Guess its standard or premium level at 40 or 50 grand...

Tons of subsidies to read through when the time comes...

By then I expect over one hundred new ev s to choose from...

I like driving electric vehicles...many many benefits and so far the only downside seems to be the ugly styling..

The state with the HIGHEST property tax in the nation offers another grand giveaway.

wow! I might have to buy a Bolt through my Aunt and Uncle! And I have another $4k from my GM card which would take me to 60% off.

New Soul electric is about 38 grand IIRC. The makers need to eat at least ten grand to move this metal. At least ten grand. Maybe Japan would subsidize?

You are right...property taxes are absurd in NJ...

The roadways are a disaster. They raised the gas tax to solely fix the roads or so they promised and thaey broke that promise already...

Its ridiculous and just wait...once people switch to electric vehicles our electricbill will be taxed insanely...

    We are already there.

My PSEG Long Island rate is $ 0.245 per KWH (includes taxes).

My ConEd NYC apartment rate is $ 0.386 per KWH (includes taxes). Thus it cost $ 23.16 to "fill up" a 2019 Chevy Bolt in NYC. $ 23.16 divided by $ 2.899 for unleaded regular gas is worth 7.99 gallons. 238 rated range of the Bolt divided by 7.99 gives you an equivalent of 29.79 miles per gallon.

It's half off, but I would still have to pay for the other half, and be seen in it. No thanks.

All-in I'm about 18.5 cents; when I had my Volt, and "doing the math" it didn't make financial sense, especially when I'm gaming the Kroger Fuel Points system; currently averaging less than $1.70/gallon.

Roads are pretty good in central NJ (Mercer, Hunterdon, Monmouth, Middlesex). I thought I read that NJ spends more per mile in road repair than any other state, but A). that might be wrong, and B). that might just be 'treading water' in such a populated state.
