    Bolts are now eligible for GM Supplier Pricing plus $6,500 in cash. Behind the scenes, dealers also have $2,500 in dealer cash to work with. Under the right circumstances, that means you can enjoy Supplier Pricing plus up to $9,000 in savings.

    In an unusual but welcome move, Chevy is also offering cheaper leases for consumers outside California. You can lease an LT from $339 for 39 months with $2,769 at signing. Based on our analysis, the effective cost of this lease is over $130 (per month!) cheaper than August.

    GM would have a lot more Bolt buyers if they gave it more of a CUV body than a hatchback. For families, the current Bolt may seem too small.

    Maybe it needs to be bigger. I look at it and think CUV more than hatchback, but it's a small one.
    Drives a 2019 Cadillac ATS Coupe and a 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA.

    In the past, I've had a 5th gen Camaro, a CTS sedan and coupe, two 3rd gen Firebird Formulas, a convertible 4th gen Trans Am, a Reatta, a couple of Monte Carlos, an Avenger coupe, a couple of Cavalier hatchbacks, a Saturn SC1, and a Cherokee.

    It's pretty small. Around the size of a Cruze. It'll work for families with small kids but with 36.5" of rear legroom with 41" of front makes it basically a 3 person car for me.

    One of the main issues with EV's is the price. With the tax credit going away it's only gonna get worse. A larger CUV EV will only come in at a higher price tag. Production should be cut back and leave the Bolt as a fleet and urban solution for a few customers. GM can keep it on the back burner as a development project for the future. For the near term, EV is a money looser.

    This is truly compelling, despite some things I really dislike, about it. - I bet the wife would like it for back-and-forth to work; I could [use] a tax credit..................

    Ya - If GM had a Blazer (or even Equinox) sized EV it would sell very well.

    Trying to entice my millennial son into one of these but his Appartment complex doesn't have EV charging stations nor does his work location. He likes the idea of the Bolt but doesn't want his life to revolve around finding a convenient charging station. Still a practical problem.

    Parts and service and what will resale look like? Are Model 3s hot on the used market?

    I imagine resale will be a nightmare for these puppies as the Art Of Th' 'Lektrik improves, range improves, and these early models are looked at like yesterday's salad left out overnight.

    I WOULD buy a hybrid. But to me pure electric has too many negatives. Look at the Prius. Yes I know. But they've been doing this for 25 years now.

    It's a quirk especially with the Bolt and it's lower charging speed but it can be done. There are few guys on youtube who live in his situation and they can make it all week on the charge and on the weekend while shopping or just being out will charge it.
