The AEB isn't even available in the "Leather" trim; when you go to Cheby.com and build one, since it is only available on the RS and Premier, you don't even notice; the DRIVER CONFIDENCE II PACKAGE for $2,165 isn't listed. So essentially to get AEB you've got to pony-up almost $5,500 to go from Leather to Premier, then another $2,165.

It has become abundantly clear that the majority on GMI are correct. The Blazer's only real serious flaw is that it is priced $6000-$8500 too high (depending on trim). The Blazer is a satisfactory CUV, GM just wants to price it like it is extraordinary.

...And that's where GM's modus operandi or business model kicks in it seems. Over price the thing then at some point start heaping on the discounts. So far that $2,000.00 on ain't enough.

I believe you are correct $2000.00 discounts aren't nearly enough! Once GM gets to $6000.00 or more discounts/incentives, they will begin to see an increase in sales numbers as well as marketshare

I think I saw +$3000 for the Enhanced package on the RS. To get the AEB etc. Jeez.

I actually love the K900. But it has two huge issues.

They put the sensors in vulnerable places on the car so even a small fender bender can total it.

Most KIA dealers will not touch a K900. There is some sort of specialized training required, which I'm sure most dealers didn't bother with considering the complete lack of sales. It literally is KIA's Phaeton and yes, I also love the Phaeton.

Yeah, just wait a little bit. The heaping will begin soon enough.
Better not to buy the 1st year anyway.

Fix up the "Paint Quality" (from the 1 that I looked at) and Yes, $8000 Too Much Money. Priced between an Escape and an Edge, and it would stand a chance, while filling a hole in the GM line up.

I'd avoid AEB like the plague. Or even like measles, which are apparently spreading and killing like the bubonic plague of Euro Middle Ages fame. If only the EU existed then! OMG!

It seems almost all makers play that package game. The "reasoning" in the upper, oxygen-starved reaches of The Towers, is people want something and force them to buy something else and then force them to buy something else, why they're so damned stupid they'll just sign on the line.

If you want to attract and keep customers, you not only have to build good stuff but you want to make sure you don't piss off potential customers so much that they stomp out in a fury and never return to your sorry outfit. Just a hint, GM and all youse others too.

I remember my aunt laughing about "rebates" when they first came out, when the '70s or '80s? I forget. Forever. The transparency of the gaminess, and the screwing, was too obvious to not laugh.

Just slap a $10,000 "rebate" on Blaze and BINGO! You'll sell some. You know, like they do with pickuptrucks.

To hell with sensors! Who needs a buncha damn sensors! Is this a car or a seance?
Well, most KIA dealers are assholes.

And yeah on the first year. When fools rush in...

Just shuffling around some of the trims, option packages, and adding a tweener engine would do the Blazer a world of good (assuming that there were some price cuts in the mix). As it stands, it gets too pricey too quickly.

Such as, 2.0L Turbo? Wouldn't save GM much, doubt they could price it much more attractively.

Checked out the console inside-a bit small I thought, glove box must've been locked-it wouldn't open, opened and shut all the doors and hood plus rear hatch and shut them. This thing is not cheap IMPO. It's a damn nice vehicle. Naysayers can keep their opinions on it but I'm truly impressed, even if I think the pricing gets me to flinch, there's always used coming around for those. Vehicle Details

I'm sorry but I would much rather have the XT5 than this as it's a much nicer vehicle in every single way except for styling (of which I still find it attractive). You can also score a better deal on one so you wouldn't pay nearly as much and have a better warranty and service to boot.

The 2.0L Turbo is a possibility. The HP/Torque figures would slot nicely between the engines already offered.

Yeah, but all those cool Real Dipsticks, Not Actors people just swoon and giggle and get The Vapors over this thing. Doesn't that mean anything to you?
