I could imagine how your feelings would change if the almighty Edge was the one with a NA V6 nipping on the tail of a GM product with the TTV6 (that should by all rights anailate its competition). And you're the one that gets better MPG's on premium (first time I've ever heard that one) and nobody mistakes that Explorer for a Police vehicle......they sure make me slow down when I see one amongst oncoming traffic or on the side of the road! But next time I do slow down I'll make certain to tell the civilian driver that I thought he might have been a Police vehicle, maybe he's also driven 100k with certainty that nobody has ever mistaken his unit for a Cop car.

I sure appreciate your scorecard too, what trim levels did you try out? How much time spent in the test vehicle? Some great reviewers out there have said many positive things about the Blazer, did you watch/read those reviews too? Or did this particular negative headline only deserve your "opinions"?

Darn Trolls are getting under my skin today!!!!!
I said the red RS is a good looking vehicle................... just like my red Explorer Sport is a good looking vehicle. The regular versions of both are boring.

I'm sorry, but I don't get a lot of what you are saying. My vehicle is rated on Premium, and I do get better mileage on Premium.................. but what would I know, I have only had it for 102K miles.

BTW, I live at 5000ft. I will take my TTV6 any day over a N/A engine. If you can't figure that one out, feel free to ask. I really like the vehicle that I own, and have owned for 102K miles. It has been a great vehicle that still looks like new (we take good care of our vehicles).
Wow... Doesn't feel good does it? 😞

Anyway.. Despite our differences.. I agree with U on the fuel economy part.. At least from my experience..

Interesting enough my daughter's Cruze gets seemingly better gas mileage on 93 than on 87. I think it has more to do with the fact that the car runs better and has more power in premium than regular. And what I mean by that is the same distance to school and work for her and in regular she fills up a day earlier every time. We tested it using the computer as well and yup.. 2-4 mpg better.

You hit on part of what I was getting at in my previous post, the fact of all the "black out" and steel wheels with small hubcap. l'd say that they usually look one trim level below base model in certain respects.

My Sport is rated 365hp on Premium, and 350hp on regular. When I run to the Valley, I am climbing a lot of steep grades, and this is going to magnify the difference in the fuel economy. However, even when just running around in town, my mileage is better with Premium. Now, it isn't your 2-4mpg better, but highway runs 1-1.5mpg better, and in town is .5-1mpg better. All of our running in town is very short distance. So, it really is a worst case scenario.

Gotcha.. I think the GM 1.4 and 1.5L is tuned to run fine in 87 but Better in 93. I HAVE NO PROOF of this, but I have heard and get similar feed back from my ex in her Equinox and a friend of mine who has the 1.5 in the Malibu . The people I know with 2.0s have never used anything else but Premium because to hear them tell it. A Cadillac or Camaro deserves nothing but premium.

Hmmm.. Imagine that Cmicasa and Extreme having a cordial conversation.. They might write cute songs about us next.. "Miatsoci and Extreme sitting a tree.. Staring at the Lovely..... Moon

I think any turbo or forced induction engine will do better with premium.

LOL at your song............... except why are we sitting around staring at "you?" That is kinda creepy.

Any vehicle where running knock sensors will benefit from premium fuel as the computer keeps advancing timing to optimum just below detonation, so your hunch is probably on the money...

Well... I've just returned from the local Chevy dealer. They just got a new Blazer in and it was sitting in their drop off area unlocked, a White Premier AWD V6. I got in played with everything I could including dropping the rear seats, lifting the cover to see the spare, adjusting the power seat to fit me and getting in behind then adjusting the rake of the back seat. Checked out the console inside-a bit small I thought, glove box must've been locked-it wouldn't open, opened and shut all the doors and hood plus rear hatch and shut them. This thing is not cheap IMPO. It's a damn nice vehicle. Naysayers can keep their opinions on it but I'm truly impressed, even if I think the pricing gets me to flinch, there's always used coming around for those. Vehicle Details
    VIN: 3GNKBKRS3KS612165

All I want to know is have they continued the traditional GM One-Eyed Look? This morning I saw a Chibby truck of some sort in my rearview, it actually had TWO FUNCTIONING DRIVING LIGHTS!

Yeah, but would your actually want one? Virtually no one does.

There were some Blazers at one of the cruise ins I was at recently.
It's a great looking vehicle... an SUV that at least looks like it could deliver on the "sport" part.

I came away from checking out the one I posted above thinking that same thing. With the styling especially on the inside, now I know what they were shooting for with this, and the Camaro-esque design characteristics. I'd like to drive one now but no intention of buying.

It is? With fewer standard features and without several option packages, no-no it isn't "all I want in a daily"............. but if it was; it' lacking all over the place compared to the competition.... "uncompetitive".

Oh, OK - I get it, because GM is the only company that discounts off of MSRP?..............

So you are comparing dealer-discounted prices with competitors MSRP?
