Brazil: 2020 Chevy Cobalt focuses on value

Cobalt focuses on cost-effective 2020 line
Large interior space, extensive standard list and low maintenance cost are competitive advantages of Chevrolet's mid-compact sedan
    2019-06-26
Chevrolet do Brasil Media Room, translated via Google Translate

SAO CAETANO DO SUL (SP) - Chevrolet is launching the Cobalt 2020 line. The model is now offered in the most commercially available versions: LT and LTZ, which are characterized by excellent value for money, with a wide range of standard items, low maintenance costs and robust mechanics.

While the LT configuration perfectly caters to a customer looking for a complete and affordable mid-compact sedan with ample interior space for occupants and luggage, the LTZ model focuses on the consumer who is looking for more sophistication and full connectivity.

The highlight is MyLink multimedia with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as OnStar's advanced telematics system with innovative security and asset protection services.

Styling seems very bland. I doubt we'll ever see it here. GM's got a lot of better looking models to import back to the US.

The really sad part is I think the photos show the "upscale" LTZ. It sure better be cheap. You'd have to go to a last generation Nissan Versa to get this much hair-shirt in one car!

A sedan in this tiny form factor is always dumb, but it use to be done here too because people think it looks more upscale than a hatchback.

I find it sad that some people wish for GM to fail and can't comprehend any good news. A plausible explanation for this kind of behavior is that you have a miserable life so you wish the same to others. Cory Pham, Autoblog Poster

GM must return its divisions to being interdependent entities within the corporation. Decentralize and free the different divisions talents to foster brand differentiation and customer loyalty.

That assumes there was any truth to that comment in the first place.
