The potential saviour of a General Motors plant has big problems

    No surprise....

General Motors is hoping that a little-known electric vehicle start-up will save it from a political backlash after its closure of a plant in the US heartlands.

GM said it was in early talks to sell the plant in Lordstown in Ohio to Cincinnati-based and Nasdaq-listed Workhorse Group. The move, which GM says will create hundreds of jobs, was hailed on Twitter by President Donald Trump as “great news for Ohio”.

However, a closer look at Workhorse’s finances raises questions over whether the group is a viable buyer for the plant.

Trump has no skin in this outcome, though that will never stop a liberal from hoping for the worst for Americans so they can have their got Trump moment!

I'm actually not a liberal...I just think he's a national embarrassment. You're right on one thing he has no skin or concern in the outcome, he's already claimed his victory.

Trump is just taking advantage of a situation because it can be used to benefit his agenda, whereas GM is the one smelling like a turd in all of this no matter what some of us mught want to think.

OK. The police acted stupidly. You can keep your doctor. You can keep your plan. The average family will save $2500 a year ($200/month). The guy who was attempting murder could look like my son.

It was a quick out for GM and Don. Not so much.

I was suspicious of the plan the second I heard it. If Tesla can't make money making EVs how can any other startup?

I'll say my peace on this load of B.S. and that'll be it for me in regards to politics/social issues whatever on this board:

    1. How about the police come over to your house and arrest you off your front porch for being whatever you are.

    2. Sue him, he got one partially wrong, what's the alternative keeping the status quo where the cost of health insurance would've increased exponentially, for all the bitching and moaning one side did on ACA, they still haven't come up w/ anything other than Obamacare sucks. where's the Rs health care plan? just a hint...they don't have one, they just want to keep people like you angry over the one in place while they sabotage it to make it worse. Can't fault them, its a winning strategy. And I'm not going to even dip into the litany of lies coming from the orange propaganda machine.

    3. I tell you what...F George Zimmerman, poetic justice for him will be for someone to pick a fight against him, start losing and put a .45 hollow point through his damn chest. Where I come from, if two guys get into a fight and one starts to lose and shoots the other, its called MURDER (cowardly Murder at that), but I guess in Florida, you can pick a fight, start to lose and then claim self defense just as long as the guy you shot was black and you're not as well SMH.

Also, I'm still sorta waiting on you to answer to why you think AOC and Obama are college "pass-throughs". After that, I'll go ahead and throw you back on my ignore list.

Don't wait. Please put me on IGNORE now. It will make me a happy camper.

    First, it's spelled "piece."

I'm short on time so I'll answer your easiest question, pass-through. Because both of those people are obviously highly unintelligent. Cortex in particular, after 16 years of skool, has virtually NO fund of knowledge and no discernible reasoning ability.
Zero, because he's older and has more experience BSing, is better at saying nothing but sounding bright to those who have been programmed to think so. He has no college records, if you listen to him speak you will understand his very limited mind, nobody from his various schools remembers him, nobody recalls him in class. He spent that time snorting coke.

Your other "points" are based on disinformation, you simply do not have facts, you have talking points. You should broaden your outlook.

As for Trump's "big announcement," he often goes off the rails and he runs his mouth about 90% more than he should. He's impulsive and likes cameras. Like his boy Rudy.
I am an equal opportunity criticizer, when a man or woman makes a fool of himself I'm glad to call attention.

So yes, this is so far from a done deal that it's like sailing Kon Tiki to Polynesia, only disappearing in the Pacific instead of succeeding and writing a book and having a movie made about it.

    You're welcome. Goodbye.

Yeah and the libs buy into that crap constantly. He's an obnoxious New Yorker and I don't think he's ever hid that.

FWIW I preferred it when everybody wasn't so damn sensitive. Both sides.

Ha! I often refer to it as Schumer Camera Disorder. Rudy sure has it, the Trumpster does too. The going joke in DC is the most dangerous place in any room is between Chuck and a camera.

Anyway, on topic. This big announcement is much ado about nothing. We'll see how it ultimately works out, but it's at least made for a lively discussion and a break from "Camaros suck!" "No, Challengers suck!" "No, Mustangs suck!" which got old after twenty pages or so.

The longer it goes on and the more that comes out, it looks to me to be more showboating hype than anything else. I have my feelings that it will fail and be brushed under the rug by the next big whiz bang shazam announcement on another front.
