We’ve already seen plenty of insanity from Hennessey, but now the Texans have taken their “add more power” recipe and applied it to the sixth-generation Camaro. The result: 751 horsepower and a top speed of 202 MPH.

The red Hennessey HPE750 you see in the picture above and below is the first third-generation Camaro to break the 200 MPH barrier. It was only a matter of time, as the lunes from Hennessey have a tendency to make fast things even faster.

I would rather drive a Toyota than send my Camaro and $74,950 to that crook.

Without wind tunnel testing and adding stability aero, that is a 202 mph coffin

At this point it comes down to how much work did the Chevy engineers put into the platform, 200MPH probably isn't the much higher then what the car is capable of in SS form. Also he was still accelerating at the end when the turn came up and he had to let off.....

If only it wasn't HPE, Maybe you get your car back.....

Texas has some very boring scenery...even at 200mph...... Next time take Amtrak. Or better yet American Airlines.

Well, it is west Texas. Literally a desert. No place that does high speed testing is particularly exciting looking.

202 MPH in a Camaro that amazing, as you start to hit a brick wall barrier of air at just over 155 MPH, the extra power needed to push force you through air after that is massive.

They added the lowering kit available from GM so that should have helped.
