    GM Sales February 2019

So I was able to find numbers and together a February chart for GM:

The only confusing/discrepancy that may last throughout the year is the "Commercial Trucks" and "City Express" lines - previous GM delivery PDFs had "commercial trucks" listed, while City Express was added to Express volume, but the info I found breaks it down into its own number. I don't know if the new 4500+ trucks will fall into Commercial Truck, or if they'll lump them in with Silverado?

Wow, that's a LOT of red. Now just curious... a brand new truck shouldn't be down 17% and 1.4%, right?

Anyone have February Ram P/U sales handy?

Oh, and thanks for doing the work and posting this! Sure is slower around here without monthly sales numbers to chat about!

Here is FCA's sales chart. Ram is up 20%.

I never thought I'd see the day when the ****ing Ram is this comfortably outselling the Chevy Silverado. Absolutely incredible. And both trucks are new, so no excuses there.

The new GM trucks ****ing suck. Ugly, expensive, and mediocre interior. ****ing God dammit GM.

Careful there. If you don't believe the new Silverado is the best truck on the market today, and by far the best looking, you are a GM hater that is dragging this site down. Ban yourself, sir.

I wouldn't get too excited...necessarily...about those RAM sales considering how much money FCA is giving dealerships to sell them. Although I think the GM trucks are relatively unambitious vehicles compared to Ford and RAM, I think GM's decision making will shake out over the longterm with products that meet customer expectations while maintaining a profitable sale. I think some patience is in order while they roll everything out. I for one like the designs, especially from GMC, and I know everybody here would still trust GM quality and capabilities over FCA.

It looks like XT4 is off to a good start and it doesn't look like it's effecting XT5 sales that much which is great. I've said it before but I really think the XT4 is a standout product and though the engine could be more refined and the handling a bit more impressive for the class it competes in I'm impressed. As far as Silverado goes now that I've started seeing more of them on the road I still can't stand the design though I have seen a few of them lifted with wheels that looked OK. The GMC is a much nicer design and it's a very nice driving truck but damn if the interior isn't cheap as hell.

RAM sales are impressive but a good amount of those sales are still the RAM Classic which is going be sold into 2020. I sat in a new Laramie Longhorn a few months back and that interior is beyond impressive and rivals some luxury cars quite frankly. The amount of detail and the quality feeling of the interior is really beyond anything I've seen from a Chrysler or Dodge product before (hell even Jeep) and whats great is that feeling continues into the lower end models as well.

I hear ya. I don't know how GM went from in my eyes, being the perfect truck in 2002, to increasingly losing my interest with each new truck and MCE since then. I would pick arguments back in the day with people who didn't think GM trucks were the best, my how things have changed.

I'm not everyone. I've said here many times before, and I'll say it again. The reports of driveline vibrations, transmission shifting problems, oil consumption, AFM problems, loose seat tracks, etc are big factors that led me away from GM. I read all that from... this... forum....

As far as the discounts, not like GM isn't throwing a lot of money on the hoods. We'll see how this month turns out, not sure what they did last month. But it is "Truck Month" again I see. Wait, I thought it just was "Truck Month"?

    Re: GM Sales February 2019

New Silverado sales 35,078 down -17% never liked the unpractical downward sloping rear cab rooflines doing fugly truck look preferred the more practical classic older model it totally ruins it all for me personally which is a shame as Chevy make the best trucks. l thought this would happen it's driving the buyers down into cheaper Colorado that already has low sales with this look but at a much lower price l am not happy v old Classic Ram it's with its all paid for tooling helps with cheap pricing, propping up masking not so good new Ram model sales numbers 39,950 in February +20% old/new Ram steals the No2 spot outsold Chevy and F-Series is still king with 66,000. Never saw this one coming MMmm l am not a big fan of the new Ram, but liked the old classic Ram a lot that is still being sold along side the new Ram is masking the real sales numbers.

Ford are copying GM going quarterly this month to help bury future bad falling car sales number news as sedan car models get discontinued phased out.

Chinese made Envision down -20% 2,000 sales LOL, Americans don't seem to be warming to GM's Chinese offerings on the menu, hope the same happens to the Chinese Ford Focus.

EV Bolt the future of General Motors 1,424 sales down -28% the future is not looking to bright at the moment then, apart from the highly profitable trucks, GM golf cart buyers desert the Bolt for the gasoline powered Chevy Sonic instead General Motors sales star of February sales up +54%.

Not to often Chevy Sonic shines the numbers are still relatively low, but it was GM best improver with sales up +54% you have to give credit where credit is due.

Everything FCA is down except of course for fantastic Ram sales. Even Jeep is down a bit. Is it possible they're pushing Ram with huge incentives to make up for weak sales elsewhere?

Contrary to what people on here accuse me of, I don't like to see GM losing on vehicles like their Silverado and Camaro. I've always been a GM fan, and hopefully can become one again in the future.

But as far as the Envision is concerned... good. This can't go down in flames enough in my opinion.

The Envision's sales are in the dumps because its a POS. Not sure if the country of origin has any part of it, but seriously look at it, it's 5 years out of date fresh off the showroom floor. And to think, they tried to charge $40K for these.

FCAs sales are down but all of their sales are mostly profit since most of their lineup is old. GM on the other hand has a brand new alleged "Cash Cow" that aint bringin home the bacon. Troubling times indeed.

The cash on the all new Ram around here is insane. A 65k truck is out the door for 50k, thats before haggling. I can now get a nicely equipped 19 Laramie for $39,000! GM is going to have to come to the incentive party if they want to sell more trucks.
    https://www.dennisdillonchryslerjeep...-new-ram-1500/

EDIT** Just looked at the local GMC store, a 19 Denali is discounted to 53K and a well equipped SLT is around 41K. So they also stepped up the incentives. Better go check the Ford boys now!

As someone who just bought a Charger from a 1k+ inventory dealership I can tell you right now not everyone will qualify for those rebates. My car had a MSRP of $31.7k and the dealership had it listed down for $22.5k. I paid $25.8k before tax, tag, etc. So I take that with a grain of salt. I've also seen 2019 Silverado's with up to $10k off as well.

Did anyone notice YTD RAM is literally 2k units behind Chevrolet? Both have a new HD truck coming out in the next few months.

This is about to get interesting.
