At a Dealership level, there is 10-15 "Special Tools" required @ $500-$1500 each to service the 2-3 Regals per year. There is the "Special Training" required, there is the Floor Plan Interest paid on the 1-2 Regals that are Required they take.

Soon, the Dealer discovers, it Only Costs him a loss of $1500 to sell a New Regal (if they get MSRP). But Mary makes money.
    "Profit for Who" - Peugeot?

Before it was "left-pocket" vs. "right pocket" accounts, now the $$$ is going into someone else's pants..............

With an "ALL SUV World" this was a legitimate gap that needed to be filled; Escape-Edge-Explorer, Rogue-Murano-Pathfinder, etc, etc, etc.

What about Impala? 21 days ...
Are they still planning to cancel this car in the future? Has the lowest inventorytime.

I think that's indicative of Chevy Impala's relatively high proportion of sales to fleets.

A few months ago, GM announced that Impala will continue production until January 2020. Cutoff for MY 2019 Impala orders took place last week (May 16). GM hasn't yet posted the order guide for MY 2020 Impala.
