I used it once and it was actually pretty convenient.

I have a feeling that a lot of these car-sharing services will be closing post-COVID.

I have a feeling a lot of "fad'ish" things that have been on the up-swing as trendy, are going to take the back-seat, certainly illuminate some negative aspects.

    Urban living, mass-transit, ride-sharing, Air-BNB, etc.

Yup, Enterprise shut down its Car Share service. They say it's a temporary measure, but there's a possibility that it may be discontinued permanently like Maven.

Less sharing - more private vehicles is likely the trend.

    Local buses are empty

doubt it on the car ownership "replacing" car sharing
as a LOT of people using "alternative" transport likely live in DENSE areas and car OWNERSHIP is very expensive and NOT convenient

I expect UBER and "friends" to come out strong and "classic" car rental co's to come out "rough"

I forgot Maven was a thing and certainly am not heart broken that it is soon to be gone.

Did GM even do anything with Maven besides waste money?

Relying on ride-hailing and car share services in U.S. urban areas full time is much more expensive than car ownership (twice as much or more, according to AAA). And they're not necessarily more convenient either, depending on the urban area.

Well, GM did shut it down when Maven's money wasting ways weren't fun and exciting anymore.
