GM Adds 3,000 New Tech Jobs to Boost Virtual Testing and Software Expertise

GM's PR dweebs couldn't resist mentioning the "zero crashes, zero emissions, zero congestion" nonsense. They also incorporated lots of politically correct drivel at the end of the press release (refer to the "Inclusion, Resources and Commitments" section).

Nonetheless, it's quite noteworthy that General Motors is hiring so many new employees to do these engineering, design, and IT functions in-house and not outsourcing them to suppliers or other third parties.

Recent virtual development innovations made by the company’s engineering team have allowed GM to speed up the product timelines of upcoming EVs while keeping costs low."
