Pony Car: an affordable, compact, highly styled car with a sporty or performance-oriented image and an available V8.
This has front wheel drive proportions. It’s not based on the CT6?
Looks old...... Like a Old Volvo.... Interior is Pit-T-full....
Dimensions look to be very close to current FWD/AWD Explorer which is understandable
knowing that it's based on the same platform as FWD/AWD XTS....
Interesting mash up coming between XT6 and Aviator later in the year...

I'm Cadillac's biggest fan. That's all I have in me to say. I don't want these GMI'ers to think I'm GM bashing if I tell the truth.
You know what? Ef, them and it... THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Cadillac has officially lost it's identity. The Escala design was meant to go SLIGHTLY horizontal in the lighting treatment. They are going so horizontal that it doesn't even look like a Cadillac anymore.
XT6 almost looks like Acura made it from the front. Rear end indeed is lost - last (D) pillar says Volvo.
On TOP of all of this, FWD is standard. I thought the Aviator debut would have sent Cadillac's team scrambling back to a huddle and saying WE MUST MAKE AWD STANDARD but nope. Same GM shared 3.6 that can be found in an Impala or ANYTHING big in GM shows up in Cadillac yet again.
I HOPE GM EXECS ARE READING THIS: STOP PADDING YOUR WALLETS AND YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS. COST CUTTING CAN BE SEEN TO MY 13 YEAR OLD.

EDIT: This is NOT an ugly vehicle by any means it just doesn't impress. As the press release states, its simply for the CURRENT Escalade buyer that wants something smaller but bigger than XT5. Aviator will bring in new customers from OTHER brands more than this will.

Perhaps YOU should go back and research - FWD IS STANDARD
BTW, I did NOT say they don't share cues. I said Escala's horizontal elements were meant to introduce SOME to Cadillac. Not CHANGE Cadillac's vertical lighting identity as a whole. Go look at the soon to be discontinued CT6 and XTS. THATS where XT6 missed the mark.
The lighting on the front end of the XT6 reminds me of when the Ford Edge had regular front end head light lighting and had those vertical LED's on its bumper.

They should go back to carpeting the lower door panels so people won't bitch about the hard plastic, which also scratches when you kick the door open.
I'm betting the light interior ceiling is extra cost. Poo!
If they were just going to rebadge this why didn’t it come out 10 yrs ago, still dont get it. Side profile looks painfully plain, front looks good, back is decent. Interior looks 5 yrs old, oh wait it is. Only the 3.6 available, sigh. Seems like GM likes being a punchline in the industry. Oh well.
