GMI Chat 7: El Camino and Chevelle!

    Tuesday, Nov 1 @ 10pm EDT

This coming Tuesday night, be sure to join the GMI community in the chatroom to talk about two of General Motors most kick butt muscle cars! Come on out and revisit the days of high compression, big horsepower, burnt rubber, and sheer power. From the small block, right up to the stump pulling big blocks and everything else in between, let us know your thoughts and memories of these two muscle car classics. Be sure to log in on Tuesday night at 10pm EDT!

Chat idea inspired by tama z71's thread; "Bring it back, Bobby."

As far as I know, no. But with talk about future RWD coupes and sedans coming from GM and Chevy in particular, I thought it might be good to revisit these two specifically.

Also, the El Camino seems to popular around GMI lately and it made sense to include both of them.

The '66 Chevelle was, in my opinion, the best looking car GM ever made. And the El Camino was the first real "crossover" vehicle. GM's glory days indeed.

I fear the Chevelle I feel if it returns the Monte Carlo nameplate may disappear...As for the El camino, bring the Ute SS put the chevy front on it and sell.

While I'd love for these 2 to come back they would have to be smaller then the impala/ monte carlo to feel right and I don't see that happening.

I wonder when GM will kill that old GTO platform and give us something modern...
