All i want at the moment is for chevy and GMC to make a V6 at least available w/ the colorado and canyon in stead of that stupid I-5. But what i really want them to do is dump the I4, pout the V6 in standar, and have an available 220-250 hp V8 Engine. I cant remember what the name of it is, but toyota has a small truck like colorado that does that. But the V8 is a 180hp.

Yeah, when I saw that the Suzuki was getting the 3.6 V6, I was furious. That should be in the Torrent or at least Vue.

At the very least, the 3500 should have gone in last year. The Equinox could have had remote start and more power already. It does AWD in the GM vans and the Rendezvous, so it should be compatible. I'd take the loss of 1 gear for that.

I agree that the 3500 should have been used instead of the 3400 though the 3400 isnt as bad as people make it out to be. It has good low end. The top end is what is a little lacking. I think the 3500 could help that out a bit.A little better fuel mileage would be nice though. I get about 16-17 in town and maybe 22-23 on the highway.

I guess will not get an answer. I haven't seen grumble either.
Sorry China, we'll buy your disposable electronics and lead coated toys, but when we Americans want a cheap car with horrible quality, we get a Chrysler.

Since no one else is going to answer..

Grumble's thread had turned into a Toyota/GM bash-fest, so it was dumped. It's unfortunate that some people cannot keep their comments to themselves if they don't have something nice to say about someone's new ride.

Well, it was a Toyota after all. Think I'll go over to the Corral site and brag about how fast my Camaro is.

i don't know what you think the problem is with the 3.4 in the equinox? i have driven them plenty and they have a very responsive motor, what do you think the drawbacks to the motor are?

I agree, it's a proven Engine and it serves the Equinox and the Torrent well. It seems plenty responsive to me. Besides, how many manufactures in that class offer a standard V6?

The Equinox and the Torrent are excellent vehicles. But no matter how good a vehicle is (GM or otherwise), people will bash it. I honestly believe that if GM built the best vehicle known to mankind people will find something bad to say about it.

Besides, some of the people bashing it are driving nothing, don't even have a license, are driving old bones or have a piece of crap in the driveway of thier mobile home.
