Works Stoppage May Push Corvette Convertible to MY2021

An interview with Bowling Green Assembly’s plant manager Kai Spande has introduced the possibility that the Corvette convertible may not have a chance to roll off the line before the plant has to start making cars for the 2021 model year.

Spande said that it’s too early to say if the convertibles will roll off the line in time to be sold as 2020s in an interview with YouTuber Rick Conti.

Without a doubt, it has been a difficult year for GM production. Before the COVID-19 stopped work, GM was embroiled in its longest strike since the ‘70s.

The 2021 model won’t be without its improvements, though. Magnetic ride control as a standalone option, new stripe patterns and paint colors, and wireless Apple CarPlay will all make the 2021 model a little better.
