Two GM Engineers Arrested After Street Racing Company Corvettes

A pair of GM engineers spent time in jail last week thanks to some reckless driving in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The drivers were clocked going 120 and 100 mph in a zone with a 45 mph speed limit at the wheels of a pair of C8 Corvettes.

The engineers were each released on a $1,000 bond but were stopped for exceeding the speed limit by more than 26 mph, reckless driving, and racing motor vehicles on public roads.

The arrest was made a little after 11:00 on January 8 and the drivers were leaving the Cue Time Cocktails and Billiards. A third Corvette was also at the scene but was not participating in the racing and so wasn’t involved in the arrests.

The cars, like their drivers, were hauled off following the arrest and kept in a tow lot before being retrieved by GM.
