Surprise, Surprise, Chevy Bolt Sales Will Start on the West Coast by Michael Accardi October 11, 2016 Share Comments As has become the norm with electric vehicles, the Chevy Bolt will begin its public roll out on the West Coast before filtering its way across the country. Chevrolet spokesman Fred Ligouri confirmed the strategy to Autoblog, saying “Bolt EV-certified dealers” in California and Oregon would get them first. “We’ll work to satisfy nationwide demand as quickly as possible as we ramp up production.” We still don’t know exactly when we’ll see the first Bolts rolling out to Chevy stores, however, we do know the $37,495 (before incentives) BEV will be offered to Lyft contractors before becoming available to the general public. One of our sisters site, HybridCars.com, received word from Keyes Chevrolet in Los Angeles that it will be receiving an allocation of 78 Bolts, 35 of which have been spoken for ahead of time. Keyes would not confirm when the first shipment is scheduled to arrive.
