Report: Cadillac Will Not Electrify the CT4 or CT5 by Sebastien Bell April 9, 2020 Share Comments Cadillac reportedly has no plans to add hybrid or plug-in hybrid capabilities for the CT4 or CT5. That’s according to unnamed sources who spoke to Cadillac Society. The sources also claim that the sedans will not go electric-only, either. That last piece of information, if true, gives some insight into how long it will be before electric sedans show up in the Cadillac lineup. With EV plans currently revolving around the Lyriq crossover and the Celestiq high-luxe sedan, it seems that those in the market for a more mainstream EV sedan from Caddy will have to wait a long time. A small electric crossover will join the Lyriq before too long, though, so EV fans will at least have a few options.
