Refreshed GMC Canyon Denali Breaks Cover by Evan Williams April 30, 2020 Share Comments We’ve known that a revised GMC Canyon Denali has been coming since earlier in the year when the brand showed off the new AT4 that was coming for 2021, but we didn’t know what it would look like. Now we do, and it’s going to get a grille that’s a bit busier, though GMC thinks it’s heroic, according to GM Authority. An “exclusive heroic grille design” is what GMC is calling it, says the report. We think that it’s a bit busy, and it looks more like an electric shaver, but the overall look is much more like its bigger siblings. Especially the refreshed Acadia. The whole thing makes it look larger than the current truck’s nose, which might be a perk for compact truck buyers. On the inside, expect more of what makes Denali Denali, like open-pore wood trim accents, a dark brown interior option, plus heated and cooled seats. And don’t forget the embroidery. There’s always embroidery. Along with the AT4, there will be changes to much of the Canyons trim walk, from bottom to top. Expect the cheapest versions to disappear, for example. But the report says that unlike some of the other 2021 GM refreshes, this one will arrive on time despite COVID-19, and isn’t being pushed back a year. That means you’ll probably see them in dealers later this year, right around the traditional model changeover time.
