Next Escalade Getting Mammoth 38-inch Screen

Tired of taunts about its small screen size, Cadillac is going big on the upcoming 2021 Escalade. Forget a tablet-like screen, this going to have the biggest screen we’ve ever seen in a production vehicle.

That’s not an exaggeration, this one is going to be absolutely massive. 38-inches, and the OLED screen will be curved, wrapping faintly around the driver. On top of the huge size, Cadillac says that it will have the largest color range available in the industry, and twice the pixel density of a 4K TV.

So what’s Cadillac going to do with the massive screen? Anything they want, really. It’s a display worthy of one of the boldest vehicles on the road, and, frankly, we’re looking forward to seeing what they decide to do with it.

As part of the teaser video, Cadillac also showed the greenlit steering wheel that is the sign of Cadillac’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous drive system.

“From the highway to the big screen, the Escalade has been embraced by drivers and fans around the world,” said Steve Carlisle, president of Cadillac. Carlisle confirmed that the 2021 Escalade would be introduced during Oscars week in February, though we expect to see it before the show takes place during the full unveiling on February 4th in Los Angeles.
