New Shock and Steel Special Edition Camaros Coming for 2020

Take a deep long look into the fleet ordering guides from GM and you can find some interesting stuff before you’re really supposed to. Like a new Shock and Steel Special Edition coming for the 2020 Camaro.

No, the car hasn’t hit dealers yet, but the order guides are out. And went perusing and found the new special edition buried way down on page 90. In the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying “Beware of the Leopard.”

So what does this new special entail? For starters, it will come with either retina-searing Shock paint that we first saw on the Shock SEMA concept last year or in Satin Steel Metallic. Get Shock and you’ll get a silver center stripe. Get Satin Steel and it comes with a Shock center strip. There’s more, though, like carbon flash mirror caps, 20-inch alloys, a black fuel filler door with carbon insert, and Brembo four-piston calipers painted yellow.

Inside, they’ll have black suede knee pads, exclusive carbon instrument panel molding, and premium mats. So it looks to be more of a Shock Special Edition and a Steel Special Edition more than Shock and Steel.

The pack will be available on 2LT and 3LT coupes and convertibles as well as 2SS cars, with LT trims also making you take the RS Package too.

The Shock and Steel cars won’t be available at the start of production but should arrive sometime during the year. They’ll get the RPO code B2E
