New Nose For the Mid-Engine Corvette? by Evan Williams December 20, 2018 Share Comments Looks like the mid-engine Corvette prototype is really getting around. It’s been spotted multiple times around Michigan lately. With a bit less camo and a few differences from the mules we’ve seen before. Of course, it could also be just a different way of camouflaging the car to keep us all guessing even more than we already are about what’s under that wrap. Generally, a nose that looked very much Ferrari 458. Looking at these pics posted to Instagram from Port Huron and Clinton Township, MI, this one is more gaping and more open, spreading across the entire nose. Of course that could just be part of the camouflage to better hide the nose. At the rear are a pair of very tall, very wide dark panels. They look almost Audi R8-like. But again, that could be a real vent or it could just be a way to better hide the back of the car. We were hoping to see the real thing next month, but reports are that there’s an electrical issue and it’ll be a few more months before the car is actually ready for its close-up.
