Listen to the C8 Corvette on Track

Automotive journalists–and I don’t excuse myself from this criticism–have a habit of thinking that if they don’t talk, they won’t get paid. But sometimes you don’t really want to hear what someone is saying. Sometimes you just want to hear the car.

Such is the case with the 2020 Corvette, which despite numerous videos, we haven’t actually heard very much from. So finally Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire has given us what we all wanted: a video of the C8 ripping on a track.

The video was shot on the occasion of Road & Track‘s Performance Car of the Year test and it seems that one of the conditions of being lent one, was that Farah couldn’t actually publicize his feelings about the car until the 16th.

And although we’re eager to find out what the fine folk at R&T think about driving the ‘vette, we’re just as happy to have heard from the C8 itself as it runs around Thunderhill Raceway, in California.
