Chevrolet will auction off the last C7 Corvette ever built (and maybe the last front-engine Corvette) at auction in June.
According to Car and Driver, the car, a Z06, will be rolling across the auction block on June 28 at the Barrett-Jackson Northeast auction with all money earned going to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The foundation helps support families of fallen first responders (among others) and honor the memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11. A few years ago, GM auctioned off the first ZR1 to benefit the foundation and brought in $925,000.
The Corvette will be painted black but will have no special styling cues.
Chevrolet only recently released the first official pictures of the C8, mid-engine Corvette, which it revealed will be unveiled on July 18.
