Hotter CT4 and CT5-V Launches Reportedly Delayed by Covid-19 by Sebastien Bell April 2, 2020April 2, 2020 Share Comments Closed production facilities and social distancing will reportedly lead to a delayed launch for the CT5-V Blackwing and CT4-V Blackwing. Although the names have not yet been confirmed, the cars popularly predicted to be named after Cadillac’s unique V8, will be even more hardcore versions of its V cars. Their launch was expected to take place sometime in the latter half of 2020, but the launch has been delayed until the first half of 2021, reports musclecarsandtrucks.com. The two cars are expected to be the spiritual successors to the CTS-V and ATS-V, featuring the full measure of performance. The current CT4-V and CT5-V are, rather, a half-step designed to allow people who want a bit of performance without the sacrifices to comfort. The CT5-V Blackwing is expected to use the Blackwing engine, while the CT4-V Blackwing will use the ATS-V’s 3.6-liter V6 that produced 464 hp in the older car.
