Cadillac Worldwide Sales Have Risen Four Months in a Row

For the fourth consecutive month, Cadillac has realized double-digit sales gains from the global marketplace.  

In September, Cadillac sold 30,061 vehicles across the globe, good for a 22.2 percent increase– and the third out of the last four months to register a 20 percent or better improvement.

Leading the charge for Cadillac are the new CT6 and XT5, which just posted the highest monthly sales since both models officially went on sale earlier this year. CT6 sales jumped by nearly 20 percent, while the XT5 gained 10.5 percent, en route to becoming Cadillac’s best-selling product.

Two of Cadillac’s elder products helped lead the charge as well, with both Escalade and XTS up nearly 30 percent. While CTS posted a respectable 10.1 percent gain, the ATS trundled along at a steady 5.9 percent.

A large chunk of Cadillac’s solid September is attributed to the Chinese market, which posted a gain of 63 percent, while at home the brand grew volume by 3.1 percent. Continuing with the good news, Cadillac’s average transaction prices have topped $53,000 per unit.

“Our results show Cadillac is earning growth through a disciplined strategy built on a foundation of product substance,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen. “Both products launched this year continue to gain momentum, as we elevate all aspects of our business to a more premium position globally.”
