Cadillac is hoping to attract buyers with value, charging less for the 2020 CT5 than BMW, Mercedes, and Audi charge for their similarly-sized rivals.

Similarly being the operative word there because Cadillac has been quick to point out that its CT5 is actually bigger than the 3 Series, A4, and C-Class.

Cadillac's value play is the same one taken by its non-German competition. Both the Genesis G70 and the Volvo S60 cost less than their German counterparts and less than the CT5, for that matter.

With prices starting at $37,890 for the CT5, it will cost less than the new BMW 3 Series which starts at over $40,000 but will cost more than a G70, which starts at less than $36,000.

And for your nearly $38,000, you'll get Cadillac's latest 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making a hearty 237 hp. That's a few horses fewer than BMW's 255 or the G70's 252.

Like the competition, though, Cadillac will sell you an AWD version. That comes in at $2,600. If you want a six-cylinder, meanwhile, prices start at $41,690 and output is rated at 335 hp.

As for the CT5-V and the CT5-V Blackwing, prices have, unfortunately, not been revealed yet.
