Buick Charges Encore GX Buyers Twice for Remote Start by Sebastien Bell September 10, 2020 Share Comments Buick is sending out $300 reimbursement checks to Encore GX buyers as a result of a mistake that led to customers being charged twice for one feature. According to documents seen by GM Authority, some 2020 Buick Encore GX buyers were charged twice for the remote vehicle start option. These include customers who opted for the Cold Weather Comfort package and the Sport Touring package. Affected customers will be asked to contact their local dealers to begin the reimbursement process. They will be asked to provide a customer notification letter, their vehicle registration, and their driver’s license. The 2020 Encore GX is offered with a choice of a 1.2-liter inline 3 that makes 137 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque or a 1.3-liter turbocharged I3 that makes 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. The Encore GX has been a hot seller for Buick, so building trust will be an important step in ensuring that sales continue.
