The first High-Feature V6 to get direct injection, which it got back in 2007 for the 2008 CTS. It is now quickly phasing out in favor of the updated LFX. The Lambda products will be the last to use the LLT.

GM engineers created 370 different power simulations to optimize this engine. It has been validated beyond 100,000 miles and has accumulated more than 6,400 hours of dynometer testing. During testing, it was run more than 270 consecutive hours at wide-open throttle without a failure.
