Chevrolet has announced that the brand's first all-electric vehicle, the Spark EV, will be priced at $27,495 and provide a monthly lease deal as low as $199 a month. The pricing announcement makes the Spark EV one of the most affordable EVs on the North American market, according to GM.

While the sticker price of the Spark EV will be $27,495, the price may go down to as low as $19,995 thanks to federal tax credits which range from $0 to $7,500. Owners in California may also qualify for state and local tax credits and incentives for purchasing the Spark EV, however the amounts vary.

GM to utilize Nissan NV200 as Chevrolet City Express.

This morning General Motors announced it will be sourcing a small commercial van from Nissan for the North American market. According to the announcement, GM and Nissan have reached a deal for the Japanese automaker to produce it's NV200 commercial van as the Chevrolet City Express.

Through procurement, Chevrolet will source the vehicle from Nissan and sell it through the dealership networks in the U.S. and Canada.
