I was bored and I happened to look up 2009 on Wikipedia. I scrolled down and I read:
"The Cadillac S-Class is scheduled to be released this year. It will be the production version of the Cadillac Sixteen concept car. A coupe version is planned." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009
I don't know whether this is just some bull, a rumor, or actual truth. But it is interesting nevertheless.
I don't think the actual Sixteen concept car is going into production. As Cadillacs future look is based in the Sixteens look. We already have the Escalade having a Sixteen inspired grille. The new CTS has a Sixteen inspired grill. The same can probably be said about the next DTS, STS, and XLR. There have been rumors of a CTS coupe.
Unless GM is keeping the Sixteen & XV-16 under extremely tight wraps I dont see them being out by 09. Such a car would be a huge undertaking and it seems highly unlikely that it would still be under wraps if it was being considered. Also it seems silly to make it an "S Class" and the allready mentioned ULS name makes much more sense.
It's not going to be called S-Class, I read the little bit on it, it's supposed to compete with the S-Class. Apparently the Cadillac Sixteen is in that new movie Click in 1 scene.
