Re: your answer in 2008 regarding 3.5L engines and possible intake manifold problems same as the 3.4L .... do you have any update on this? I'm curious whether it has become a real problem or is it nothing to be worried about.
I am seriously considering a 2006 Montana with the 3.5 and have been told that the intake manifold gasket should be done asap as a preventative thing. Otherwise, it could be catastrophic.
Also been told that it's not a matter of "if", it's a matter of when it will fail.
On the other hand, service advisors at 2 local GM dealerships claim that the 3.5's haven't really been a problem.
Would very much appreciate your input.
