New Transmission for my 2000 Chevy Tahoe 4X4
Took my new transmission to reputable shop (so I thought) here in S.F. and found out yesterday when returning the old core to dealership that was a used Part and not the transmission I had supplied to therepair shop I can think what I'd do! Have any idea's? PISSED OFF IN SAN FRANCISCO

John.....Your post makes no sense !!!!!!
Anyhoo................Some/most production trans. shops usually do not just Remove/rebuild/replace the trans. that was in your car. Most already have a fresh rebuilt unit on the shelf and just swap it out ! Your old unit is then rebuilt by the shops tranny rebuilder and put on the shelf for the next one that comes in for repair! Why? Simple.....Fast turnaround aka 1 day service !!!!!!!!!!!! Unless you have a oddball trans. or they don't have your replacement on the shelf. |
