Re: Should GM Sell Chinese Buick Regal in NA?

I think Buick would get a boost if they added it to the NA lineup. Much classier than the current offerings and would look great next to the Lacrosse. Any word on price if they did offer it here? I assume a few grand less than the Lacrosse??

Buick is on it's way back to life, and this is a great car to help do it!

This is such a good looking car inside and out... GM needs to bring this to the US in one form or another...and quickly.

This is the closest thing I have seen from an American car maker to a credible world car competitor in the near luxury segment. This is better than Acura and Lexus by far. Why wont GM bring this car to America is beyond me.

This is a humongous piece of no-brainer. If GM is pondering over that for even a moment, there is little hope for them.

Rick, start tooling up Orion Township to build this beauty TODAY!

You want die-hard import buyers to flock to GM showrooms? Put this on the forecourt.

This wouldn't just turn Buick around... I think it's stunning enough to turn GM's entire image around. Or at least would be the catalyst to a GM image makeover.

I'm trying to picture it in Enclave chocolate brown...

Beautiful rework of the new opel.

I'd say it would be a hit in the USA!

thanks for the photos

Re: Should GM Sell Chinese Buick Regal in NA?

This should come to the US ASAP to "replace" the current Lacrosse.
While it could have worked as a Saturn, however Buick gives it the ability to charge a more premium price, bringing it inline with the Insignia.

As soon as it gets port-holes and not a generic and stupid fender vent, out it on a boat and get it there. The grille should have more chrome less brushed aluminum too.

Re: Should GM Sell Chinese Buick Regal in NA?

Buick can charge a premium over what Saturn can. Just look at the Enclave. Buick can still command a premium, though many don't believe it to be so. However, no one can charge a premium for a boring, unexciting product (existing Lacrosse & Lucerne). With one move GM can provide Buick with three incredible vehicles, all of which can command a premium. If GM doesn't do it they are retards. Hell, they're 2/3rds of the way there ... just give Buick the Regal with all the gadgetry. No compromises.

Re: Should GM Sell Chinese Buick Regal in NA?

Does this even require a serious answer. Duh. Yes. I've been advocating it coming as a Buick for as long as I've did the actual currency conversion from E to $ for the Insignia and figured out there was no way Saturn could demand those prices.
