Re: Should The Chevrolet Caprice Be Available To The Public?
I always thought once I saw the Mid East version that there should be one here. Then they came out with the G8, and I loved it. Problem is I like the G8 styling more then this Chevy Caprice picture.
So yes they should, but they should change the front end clip more inline with Chevy NA's direction.

Re: Should The Chevrolet Caprice Be Available To The Public?
I agree that this car should be available to the public, although not as a Chevy. I've always thought the LWB Zeta fit in better with Cadillac. What we need is a Caprice/Statesman variant brought over as a Cadillac flagship. If/when GM changes their mind again, bring a Commodore-based sedan back over for Chevy.

Re: Should The Chevrolet Caprice Be Available To The Public?
I believe that Chevy can have the Caprice and Caddy can have it's version. First the Lacrosse is longer and heavier than the G8 which would be a Chevy. So put the 304 hp
in and bore out the 3.6 to 3.8 and let that be the base engine for the lwb Caddy. It can be done with a small investment and truly test GM's flexible plants to adapt. You have until 2016 to get a hybrid or diesel to get better gas mileage. |

Yes. Having this, the FWD Impala, and the Malibu will make Chevy that much stronger.

Re: Should The Chevrolet Caprice Be Available To The Public?
From what I've heard, the new 300 and new Charger are significantly better looking and stronger competitors for retail customers. I'm hoping GM sees the civilian Caprice as the way to get these sales for GM not Chrysler/Fiat.

Re: Should The Chevrolet Caprice Be Available To The Public?
I think it's a no brainer you have the car coming here for Specialty orders why not at least make it available to be purchased as a non police version. Make the options non existant just color and if you want nav or not. Use it as a gage for large RWD buys

Shows 'without a shadow of a doubt' that the Statesman/Caprice is a good handling car when it is subjected to a bit of slalom and drifting.
It keeps very good poise Mike |

Re: Should The Chevrolet Caprice Be Available To The Public?
Yes it should. The sad thing is that selling it as a fleet vehicle effectively kills any retail market the car may have.

Re: Should The Chevrolet Caprice Be Available To The Public?
No it shouldn't, past couple of large 4dr RWD sedans have not done well. Make it a cop car only. If you want one, you will be able to get one in a few years.....
