Re: Most Desperate GM Product

The equinox has the potential with a redesign but include a SUT model as well. Base it off the new malubu with 4 wheel drive being an option. Also the HHR could be refreshed like the nomad version shown at sema a couple of years ago.

Wow, your grasp of engine technology is somewhat...limited, comparing a 5 cyl to a Hemi V8 Dodge. Want to compare fuel mileage while we're at it?

Guess I was wrong about you. Hell, I might even buy a Toyota before buying a Dodge.

Ok so...maybe not.

Opel Combo and Chevrolet Spark

Can front page news get a bit less US-centric now?

Anytime you wanna race that fumble bee with my 08 regcab 3.7 colorado bring it on. I mean sure, my colorado has no chance against my modded C6 Vette, but it will take big heavy fumble bee.

You guys in Europe have a great selection of vehicles in GM's European branches. We been getting the short end of the stick for years and you are complaining? Only recently has GM been making some decent products for the US.

Re: Most Desperate GM Product

That's not the case, and some GM branches have been getting even more crap over the years. Still, ATM the Combo and Spark seem the most desperate of the GM global lineup, not counting some more local examples of warmed-over models still swerved.

Its not worth it but what the heck, the day that tinny hunk of glued together bolts beats my RUMBLE BEE, will be the day that the Ram 1500 outsales Ford F-150, and the Viper gets 30mpg. Sure, It can happen...

Keep telling yourself that buddy

Well, The Ram 1500 does lead the class in free way mileage so, why not? The colorado is a lot smaller but yet dosent do that much better. I mean c'mon, a truck that small should be able to get 30mpg if a cumbersome Ram 1500 can get 24!

All depends on the driving habits the person behind the wheel. The cars I drive consistently beat the EPA and CSA ratings, yet friends'....don't.

Cue Minnesota Nice to tell me I drive like a grandma.

Re: Most Desperate GM Product

I vote for the Cobalt. I happen to own an LT Sedan and the steering sucks, front end is wimpy, seats suck, and no telescoping steering wheel is ridiculous.
Next, the Aveo, which is the worst subcompact on the market. Personally I would rename the next version Metro, which is a cool little name, IMO.
Next, the Astra. Needs a bigger engine and the SEDAN.
Next I say Canyon because it stunk as soon as it came out. Inexcusable for GM not to be able to make a small truck thats better than a Toyota.
Next I say Lucerne. Ditch the name and the car, same goes for LaCrosse.
Next, Impala. My mom owns a 2006 and while its attractive it handles like a barge.
Next, STS and DTS. I list these last because of the CTS which is good enough to satisfy most Caddy buyers.

The Colorado is not really that small, it's too big. We need a small truck like the s10 or even smaller with a nice 350+ hp V8.

Re: Most Desperate GM Product

they need to sell more impalas as there is more profit for GM and the dealer in a impala than in a cobalt so up date the impalas
