Bring these in as Chevrolets, Buicks and Cadillacs, and maybe even a selective few Pontiacs.

No Holden should ever be sold as a Cadillac. Ever.

I don't get why GM doesn't just create an international, combined high performance unit. Give it one name, sell the products everywhere.

Slap the Caprice nameplate on them, or keep them as-is as Holdens. I dont think the Pontiac name should be braught back because my dad, like probably many others, think Pontiacs are unreliable, and that might hurt their choice. What would be the base price for maybe a SIDI V6?

Re: Do you want HSV's performance products available in North America?

It's ashame that these hsv type vehicles (gts, clubsport, grange) aren't garnered as much in america as they derserve.
Its truly a numb feeling when america used to judge or merit vehicles based innovative, performance or eye catching ability.
Now it seems if it isnt a dull shade of silver or doesnt have 4 doors, its a black sheep of the automotive community.

Re: Do you want HSV's performance products available in North America?

Dunno if I could put up with all the whingeing if they did come to the US.
However, they should form part of a Pontiac range with Solstii, Firebird and other OPC/VXR/HSV style vehicles.

So, I voted unsure.

Re: Do you want HSV's performance products available in North America?

I would say "yes" but only if one of 2 things happen:

1) Pontiac(if possible) is resurrected & given appropriate product that would include HSV-like variations. Though the main difference is that these Pontiac's would be enhanced versions of already powerful stock Pontiac vehicles. Sort of like an in-house aftermarket option.

OR

2) Bring Holden Stateside as Holden's & basically fill the void left where Pontiac once was.

Though my personal preference would to have Pontiac resurrected & thus my 1st choice.
No offense to Aussies & Holden.

!!!

Re: Do you want HSV's performance products available in North America?

I say yes, but only certain models. Unfortunately, only a few will fit into certain GM brands since Pontiac is no more.

Re: Do you want HSV's performance products available in North America?

Based on their background in racing and well-established performance image, along with some of the things I'm aware of that they're branching out into as a part of their current NASCAR organization, in the area of "special" customer (street) vehicles, I think the logical US "source" for the HSV vehicle range would be HMS...Hendrick Motorsports.

The organization is large enough, and has a well-established dealer network that would be capable of supporting an HSV effort catering to a US customer base. It would also provide an opportunity to give a shot in the arm to Hendrick Automotive Group as far as it's GM dealer holdings, which have probably not produced nearly as well as other Hendrick dealers for more upscale imported vehicles.

Re: Do you want HSV's performance products available in North America?

HSVs are high performance and desirable, and should be produced in the US as Chevrolets, Buicks, Cadillacs, maybe even as a select few Pontiacs. I'm tired of GM not selling their highest performing cars in the US.
I'd love to have a "W427" Impala SS, and add a supercharger to it.
