Texas: 53 million gallons of biodiesel per year from animal fat

GREENHUNTER ENERGY SUBSIDIARY UPDATES STATUS OF
BIODIESEL REFINERY OPERATIONS

Quote:
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUGUST 25, 2008 – GREENHUNTER BIOFUELS, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GreenHunter Energy, Inc. (AMEX: GRH), announced today that over the past week it has achieved over 50% of nameplate production capacity (50% of 105 million gallons-per-year) at the country’s largest biodiesel refinery located in Houston, Texas. The predominant feedstocks refined to-date have been animal fats (poultry fat and beef talloy), which under the current pricing environment, are expected to provide the Company with meaningful net operating margins.

GreenHunter BioFuels is currently contracting for sale its first 4000 metric ton parcel of B100, or 100% biodiesel, to a purchaser with an anticipated ultimate delivery into the international markets.

Curious about the reasoning of the retail product going international instead of domestically. Could it be because there more margin in retail outside of the US?

OK, here's how we fix most of the US's problems...(please save your applause to the end)

People are animals, and this place makes diesel out of animal fats. American people are by and large FAT! This fat-assed-ness is killing the health care system and making a lot of lazy ass people. Lets give free lipo to all of the lard asses out there, send it to this station, make diesel out of it voila! Most of the porblems in the US solved.
