Re: Auto Workers At GM Plant In Kansas City Go On Strike - Malibu Production Halted

The UAW is to the Workers as an abusive husband is to a battered wife.
You have workers being screwed by their Union and defending it to the ends of the earth and all of us on the outside "just don't understand" but the truth is, we don't. We don't understand the fear that they are subjected to everyday and what that type of fear can do to a person's judgment. They are lead to believe that they have no worth without the union there to protect them. They are lead to believe that everyone is out to get them and only the union can save them. It is a lot like a closed compound cult, "you are free to go but remember, once you do, someone is waiting out there to rape you. Only we can protect you."

I say people know what they are getting into, like attracts like, and some women put up with it because big d*ck is the most important thing to them.

We have a lot of unemployed people in the chicagoland area looking for jobs. Why doesn't gm hire some?

One of GM's best selling cars. Why can't they strike at Janesville or something where GM doesn't need their cars as much??

When American Axle posted the jobs that people are off striking, there were so many responses they had to stop taking applications. And the jobs were advertised at the proposed lower wage. Hiring scabs can be a difficult undertaking and safety becomes a big issue with them crossing the picket line.

Speaking of the picket line, how come I haven't seen any pictures? Of AAM, I mean. I think I saw one or two at some point there was like 3 guys there. They are all supposed to show up and picket like it's their job...because it is.

Jesus Christ Almighty!! When will these idiots wake up and realize the only ones they're hurting are themselves?!They can seek concession after concession after concession......all the way to the resurrection, but sooner or later, there will come a point where GM just can't give anymore--the point where they'll break the company they're working for. Then where will they be?

Well then and only then will they have won...right? I mean that's what they're fighting for...

I'm not sure they even know what they're fighting for anymore........if they were smart.....they'd have some patience and wait until the General was back on top before they sent things to hell in a handbasket like this....

If they were even smarter (which seems unlikely), they'd get real blustery and go all out and a campaign to unionize some Asian auto plants.....noone has deeper pockets than you know who.....

Toyota would pull out of North America faster than you can say Dimsum. Don't you think they want to? They won't let it happen.

Toyota and Honda are busy building cars while you hurt your dealers. I own 3 GM cars and I am a Union member but this is getting out of control. Times are tough and GM has lost a ton over the last few years. The UAW is out of control, keep it up and you will put GM out of business.

"General Motors is the enemy, brothers and sisters."

Today, GM, today...

Fire every one of those union muthas...

and replace them with workers that take pride in the company they're working for.

Any shred of support I had for the UAW/CAW went out the window with that statement.

Re: Auto Workers At GM Plant In Kansas City Go On Strike - Malibu Production Halted

GM won't go out of business, too many people will get laid off and unemployment from that alone just might put us in a depression. the government will eventually dismantle the union.

the union is just drawing out their own death and the govt isn't being proactive enough. they are hoping gm will plead to them to fix it, but until then, forget it.

clearly the union is ignorant, if they were stupid that would mean that had knowledge of the situation in the first place. Having knowledge would lead the union to fight free trade instead of fighting GM, idiots.

When i say 'union' i mean the political jockeys and reps, not the workers. Very few of real workers are represented correctly and acurately, they are man handled and 'encouraged' to go with the flow.
