Huge parts - all parts of the rationale make no sense whatsoever.

Btw, that 1,500 more with a unit cost of over 38,200 $ looks likely to be a 'mistake' involving a misplaced decimal point - but not by the reporter.

However they jicky jacked the numbers all the conventional auto alternatives would be a lot closer to and in some cases definitely right at 15,000 $ cheaper - not 1,500 $.

I may not have the numbers exactly right but over the last year or two, about seven to ten Police Chief's, Village President's and the like have made the press and had to explain - and in most cases give up a Toyota Dealer provided vehicle - because the arrangement wasn't right.

Some of those were followed up and no surprise involved all kinds of good 'ole boy relationships including campaign donations, fleet purchases, and sometimes related family members.

Oh, and uh, there are some others that happened where municipalities paid more than the going local market rate for the vehicle

So the reall story here is most likely not being pursued or at least checked for what possibly lies behind all these decisions.

I say this because the other ones I alluded to have involved the same kind of phony presentation that can't even with stand cursory examination in terms of its own arguments in almost exactly the same way.

Its' like' there is a talking points outline being circulated.

We also know as per official OEM statements none of these hybrid vehicles are intended for intensive fleet use much less regular Police or Interceptor duties.
