Re: New light on GM's EV1

Isn't the Volt the EV1's baby?

Since the EV2 was going to be a series hybrid and the Volt will be a series hybrid, it essentially is. Maybe grandchild, since the EV2 was intended to have a turbine and the Volt has a simple IC engine. But the GM haters don't see it that way. They see a company that killed the electric car to spite the environmentalists and feed big oil greed.

problem is, that silly insect is being trampled on now by illigal immagrants and camps and trash, which people in the same admin oppose a crack down upon.

Instead the state buys local radio spots to advertise conservation..

Now you tell me, convert our fleet of cars in socal to electric, how the heck are we going to power them?
If that is not irrational madness, to want electric cars without building capacity to power them...
California pols are nut cases
Again, because apparently you missed it when I said it the last time....no one said to replace ALL of our cars with electric cars, no one said to FORCE people to buy one, no one said electric cars are the ONLY SOLUTION FOR ALL OF US. Can't afford one? Don't like them? Afraid of rolling blackouts? Then don't buy one. No one said you had to. Chillax, man. Why get your panties in a twist over something you aren't interested in?

60 years, huh? Really? Without importing ANY oil? I find that hard, no, impossible to believe. Where are you getting that from? ANWR has maybe, maybe enough oil (if used as our sole source) to last 18 months at current consumption rates. Please, where are we hiding the oil that will last us 60 years? Someone's been lying to you.....

LOL! If we made Canada more 'Democratic' like us, you'd lose a great many of your rights, millions would be without health care, families would be torn apart due to 'invalid/non-sanctioned marriages' and a marked increase in Evangelism. Maybe we should follow your type of Democracy.

Anyway, I don't see where people think we have 60 years of oil here, especially when we can't bear to use less and lower our consumption rates despite it costing nearly $4 a gallon. Again, we're acting like a crank-whore needing a fix. To hell with playing it smart, let's just keep pretending nothing is wrong and keep consuming as much as we want, regardless of how stupid it is.

For sure. The only thing is your Presidents will have to go to church most of the time and speak French fluently...or I guess, in your case, Mexican.
