If you get much outside of the Midwest, E85 becomes harder and harder to find. If we can get the cellulosic ethanol plants going, I can imagine a much larger distribution of E85. In fact, once you get out of Toledo area, there aren't many E85 stations. When I go home to the Youngstown area, there are virtually none.

Green crude sounds great, I hope we can develop it further. Anything that gets us away from 'dino' oil, the better I feel.

This coincides nicely with the bill to require ALL new cars sold to be flex fuel. Funny how that worked out.

Who CARES!! E-85 is the worst thing for cars ever invented! It is so bad in so many ways, just make it go away now and save the world! I will stay will dino oil, That way I can still eat corn and drink water, and better yet get better fuel economy!

Keep drinking the oil company kool-aid. Corn based ethanol isn't going to be the answer, and it will prove to only be a stepping stone. If you would do a mediocum of reading on the subject, you'd know this.

Good Lord, yes. There's been a station (Campus Mobil) selling E85 on Western Ave forever. That one is right near my office and just recently one opened up right near my house - A Mobil on Route 50 in Glenville. The third I know of is the New Baltimore travel plaza.

Re: GM offering 18 flex fuel vehicles for MY 2009

I have zero insider knowledge but would expect another leap in 2010 in E85 capable GM cars. I am hoping and expecting Invicta to be flex, at which time I would hope they'd also do it for Malibu. I'd expect all new Saabs to Saturns to feature flex as well. But, again, just me speculating. No clue as to whether they'll do any flex Caddy's.

A full hybrid flex fuel Invicta, Aura (Insignia), or Malibu might be the ideal family car.
