I really want the price of corn to go up to the point were sugar becomes attractive to Coca-Cola again. Try getting a bottle of imported Mexican Coke - it tastes much better than the Coke we get here that's sweetened with Corn syrup.

Re: Former weed may fill world's fuel tanks

This new Biodiesel should run great in the new Corsa or should I say CO2RSA

Vauxhall CO2RSA drops CO2 emissions to a cleaner, cheaper level
Posted May 7th 2007 6:01PM by Sebastian Blanco
Filed under: GM

Vauxhall has started selling a new Corsa, the CO2RSA 1.3CDTi with a 75PS engine, in the UK. This car has lower emissions than the previous Corsa CDTi's output, down from 124g/km to 119g/km. As Vauxhall is careful to point out, those 5g/km mean this Corsa fits into the VED Group B, and the cost of the annual tax disc drops from £115 to £35. The cleaner CO2RSA also might be exempt from the London Congestion Charge if the mayor's proposals for next year are approved. Oh, and Vauxhall says the revised engine doesn't change the performance of the vehicle at all.

The official statement is after the jump.

'Former' weed? Does a weed lose its 'weed' status by becoming a potential fuel source?

Yes it does. A weed is just a plant you don't want. Sounds like you'd want this now.

all of our plastics (any many other products) are made from crude...so at the very least, the money will come from somewhere else.

the whole 'dependence on foreign oil' ploy that bush is using is a distraction. of course it's a good idea, but the sudden push makes me suspicious.

has everyone forgot the push for hemp? it's super versatile, grows extremely fast, doesn't need much, and if any pesticides. it's a good stock for methanol, and now biodiesel. what reason does the u.s. government have to ban low-thc varieties that are grown around the world?

opel was using hemp to line its doors a while back...i don't know if they still do.
