Difference is only a bigger battery, mostly.
Eh, not quite. The CMax is considered a hybrid. The CMax Energi is the plug in version.

But if Volt needs this distinction, go for it.
Not sure what you are trying to argue here.

The article is specific to electrcs, plugins and erevs. If it was inclusive of all hybrids, it would have included all Prius', all C-max, etc. This is related to a specific type of vehicle.

Count me as one who is eagerly awaiting to see the impact the Spark EV may have on the EV/plug-in market, if indeed Chevrolet does make it available nationwide (eventually) and not just a compliance model for California... We know they've stated it won't be a compliance model, but how long will it take them to roll-out nationally? 1 year? 2?

If it's priced under $30k, then receives the tax incentives, it could change how EV's are looked at in the U.S. marketplace...

I believe it'll be sold in Canada, too. So, not a compliance car in that regard since the electric RAV4 is California only, even though, ironically, it's built in Canada.

GM may want to let the charging infrastructure build a bit 1st. I read this article from a thread/link posted on gm-volt http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/10/au...ted=1&_r=0&hpw & for me it reinforces how smart GM was in choosing erev to start the game. I just hope cars like the Volt have a bigger impact on changing how EVs are looked at than Mr Broder's experience w/the Tesla S & his article that came out of it.
