I HATE neo-Cons and their Jingoistic ideas for America and their sense of self-entitlement, but I don't let it get to me .Conservation isn't a bad thing, and I know it won't lower the price, but hey, anytime you use less of something you save money, right? |

P.S. I've owned nothing but GM since I started driving. That's loyalty. I only wish they could match the foreign cars on fuel economy, that's reality.

I am very comfortable with the amount of oil I use per year (which is about average), now the amount of money I spend on eating out is something I am NOT comfortable with. Restaurants are way to damn expensive. What peeves me off is when someone on one side of the spectrum (right or left) thinks they are "morally superior" because of their way of thinking. I prefer to say, just let me use my money how I want, and leave me alone otherwise. I try to think that a lot of things we want regulated (weather to the right or to the left) should be left up[ to personal choice. The flip side is, that if someone makes a bad choice, then tough luck, they need to learn from it and move on. Which to many people sounds harsh. |

I suspect being "green" requires some kind of big sacrifice well beyond just spending more for the hybrid option alone. The false belief of getting forced out of your vehicle type of choice, rather than simply being asked to consider the upgrade next time to a cleaner and more efficient propulsion system, is common. That's unfortunate. But misconceptions are still abundant. As for having an attitude, our country's automotive market is very different (we guzzle much more) than the rest of the world. Yet, the denial of that isn't considered "holier" and the acknowledgement of it is. That's backwards. And that's quite troubling when you consider how slowly change is accepted. JOHN |

You're right! It's a shame that too many people sit and judge others while living life "their way". That includes people on both the left and right. Our Trailblazer has been one of the best choices I've made. I can pick up "stuff" for the house and not have to pay delivery charges (saves money). Is it economical? Actually, it's not bad. I get about 17 mpg average suburban and 22 mpg on the road. I plan most driving around multiple stops and try to avoid stop light racing. It's difficult as most people don't realize that a 275 HP Trailblazer can be pretty quick, when driven by a driver using both feet. At $4 a gallon, I would probably give the trailblazer to my wife and use the CTS more often. |
